Facebook + Phone = Facebook Smartphone?

Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg quashed rumors that the company is working on a “Facebook Phone” Tuesday.
“It’s always been the wrong strategy for us,” he said during an interview at TechCrunch Disrupt, a tech conference currently being held in San Francisco, California.
Zuckerberg went on to explain that a phone simply doesn’t make sense for Facebook.
“Let’s say we build a phone, “ he said. “We’re not, but if we did, we could maybe get 10 to 20 million people to use it … It doesn’t move the needle for us.”
“The strategy we have is different from every other tech company [like Apple] that’s building their own hardware system — we’re going in the opposite direction.”
Instead, Zuckerberg emphasized that the company is focusing on mobile. “We want to build a system, which is as deeply as possible integrated into every major device people want to use.”
“It’s easy for people to underestimate how good mobile is for us,” he said. “We’ve transitioned, and now we’re a mobile company.”
Zuckerberg added that the biggest mistake he feels Facebook has made was betting on HTML5 for mobile, rather than native code.

Well for me my first reaction was "WHOAH" facebook with a phone? that can be great but as Zuckerberg said they are building a system not a mobile company. He said too that they want to integrate into every major device people want to use. Zuckerberg and his company doesn't want to compete with the other mobile companies like Apple as he said "we’re going in the opposite direction.” For me if this will happen it can be good but they will change their direction because the Facebook Company is building a system and not a mobile company like a said earlier. At the end the Facebook phone is a wrong strategy for the facebook company that will lead them to their wrong direction.
